This laboratory manual is comprised of 14 laboratory experiments, covering topics of water quality, water treatment, groundwater hydrology, liquid static force, pipe flow, and open channel flow. These experiments are organized with a very logical flow to cover the related topics of environmental and hydraulics engineering within university-level courses. About the author(s)

Dr. Gang Chen currently is an associate professor and program coordinator for water resources and environmental engineering at Florida A&M University – Florida State University (FAMU-FSU) College of Engineering.  He finished his Ph.D. at the University of Oklahoma in 2002. Before that, he studied at Harbin Institute of Technology and Cornell University. He joined Florida State University in 2005 after working three years as a postdoctoral research associate at Washington State University.  Dr. Chen has been teaching in the area of water resources and environmental engineering for over 10 years. He integrated the Florida State University water resources engineering lab and environmental engineering lab into a single course and developed this essential manual.  He has published over 65 technical journal papers.

Mr. Simeng Li is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. He joined the department in 2016 and started teaching the Water Resources and Environmental Engineering Laboratory ever since.

Dr. Youneng Tang is an assistant professor at Florida State University. He obtained his Ph.D. from Arizona State University in 2012 and joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of FAMU-FSU College of Engineering in 2015 after working as a postdoctoral research associate at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2012-2015.
